An agent under a power of attorney or a guardian does not have an obligation to use their personal resources to care for their ward or the principle of their power of attorney. They are required to act as the responsible fiduciary, and to manage their ward or the principles funds efficiently, and to use those funds for the individuals care, but not their own.
